Essential Duties and Responsibities:

  • Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets
  • Notify and assist operations and sales support persons by communication of customer’s needs and preferences.
  • Maintain effective, professional relationships with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Assist other sales reps with daily activities as required
  • Facilitate freight sales and coordinate with produce sales reps by creating freight rate presentations
  • Responsible for Quality and Food Safety
  • Responsible for approving credit memos associated with the freight accounts



Position requires performing any combination of the following job duties:

  • Keeping abreast of market conditions Pricing strategies-developing pricing guides
  • Meeting all company and sales profit objectives
  • Assist in warehouse tours


Other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of freight sales to ensure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. Addressing the needs and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. This includes assigned customers, as well as, the accounts of other company salespersons.


Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Timely and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through, excellent phone skills, PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously
  • Must have proven problem solving skills
  • Must have demonstrated excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Produce knowledge preferred
