Highliner/Rogge is a division of Charlies Produce that services the marine and commercial fishing industry. Charlies Produce is a local grocery/produce distributor servicing our Northwest market for 30 years. We have distribution centers in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. We are a growing company with more than 1,200 employees and we are seeking a Facility Manager for our Dutch Harbor, Alaska distribution site.


The warehouse is approximately 20,000 sq. ft. and staffs 3 warehouse/driver personnel. The position reports to the General Manager (off site) and is responsible for the management of all grocery distribution functions, receiving, maintain product quality, warehouse shipping, and delivery of product, administrative task and personnel.

  • Responsible for the management of incoming freight, perishables and procurement.
  • Supervise warehouse and transportation operations. Maintain regular communications with warehouse and transportation staff to insure operations are functioning satisfactorily.
  • Must be highly flexible to service customer needs, 24/7 availability (based on seasonality).
  • Review and inspect facility, to insure periodic maintenance is provided and provide basic maintenance and repairs for warehouse equipment. Authorize repairs and services if needed.
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills to communicate with employees, customer and peers.
  • Able to multi-task, work well under pressure in a day-to day work plan.
  • Responsible for facility’s administrative duties/tasks.
  • Manage the loss prevention function relating to the property and personnel.
  • Maintain and achieve operations performance objectives.


  • 2 years’ experience in the food industry (sales, customer service and/or operations) preferably in management.
  • Knowledge of grocery/perishables commodities.
  • Experience and expertise in all areas of warehousing.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and teaming skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
  • Must have proven problem-solving skills.
  • Must have PC skills, Micro soft Office and Outlook.
  • Must have an excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers.
  • Prefer a college degree or minimum high school.
