Responsibilities

Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining and repairing various areas of our Warehouse and Processing building, which includes refrigeration, HVAC, basic mechanical motors, painting, carpentry etc. The person will also assist in the building electrical/plumbing repairs and other general maintenance issues. This position is accountable for clear, timely communication and paperwork to ensure the highest safety practices for the warehouse, for the preventative maintenance of the entire warehouse including forklifts, machinery, and miscellaneous projects and for the continued maintenance of the building in its entirety.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

At least three (3) or more years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance (prefer mechanical and refrigeration) and at least one (1) year general maintenance experience.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to plan in detail
  2. Effective communication skills
  3. Proficiently read, write, comprehend English
  4. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  5. Ability to coordinate with contractors
  6. Must be proficient with computer and appropriate software
  7. Requires prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping.
  8. Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and lift, push and pull 75lbs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform daily tasks as assigned by supervisor
  2. Create and implement a preventative maintenance plan
  3. Perform mechanical and refrigeration duties
  4. Maintain building and machinery maintenance
  5. Attend monthly safety meetings
  6. Other duties as assigned
