Responsibilities

Job Summary:

To lead the warehouse team at this facility in monitoring inventory, proper slotting incoming product, and tracking out going product. Work with the Buyers, Sales and Management to maintain inventory database integrity.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure accuracy of system inventory through stock adjustment forms and cycle counts.
  2. Identify and communicate safety hazards, miss slotted product and rotation issues to the warehouse team.
  3. Determine and communicate the daily pars for the repack and tomato repack programs.
  4. Track all inventory movement within the facility for product recalls to be submitted to the Food Safety Officer.
  5. Formulate and send the spoilage report to the purchasing department and quality control.
  6. Work with all departments to find solutions to inventory levels that are too high or too low.
  7. Determine slot location changes for all items.
  8. Perform month end physical inventory procedures.
  9. Work with the buyers and the warehouse team to manage the inventory variance.
  10. Ensure the accuracy of the item information to include active status, buyer number, actual cost, buyer status and parent/child relationships

 

Additional Responsibilities: As assigned by the inventory control supervisor or Management.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  1. Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures.
  2. Intermediate knowledge of inventory computer systems.
  3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  4. Desire to work in a nontraditional, participative work environment.
  5. Considerable contact with other departments, such as sales, planning, and possibly with customers.
