    Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Responsible for the organization and productivity of the warehouse night crew. Responsible for warehouse order accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance/safety. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Operations Manager and/or Assistant Manager and train warehouse night personnel, to ensure the highest performance.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Lead the night crew in tasks; ensuring order accuracy, quality of product, cleanliness of the facility and other duties as assigned.
    2. Ensures proper training of staff by training new hires and re-training on an as needed basis.
    3. Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out-of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products.
    4. Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment.
    5. Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations.
    6. Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Operations Manager in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
    7. Conducts minor disciplinary actions in regards to company policy, performance and attendance of subordinates.
    8. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must have proven supervisory and effective communication skills. Tactful in human relations, in depth knowledge of food/produce warehouse procedures. Organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and respect for company policy.

    At least five (5) years’ experience in warehouse shipping and handling and at least two (2) years of experience in managing 5 or more employees.
