    Farmbox Greens is an urban, vertical farm located on First Avenue in Sodo. Farmbox grows microgreens and culinary herbs for distribution in Seattle and beyond. In the past six months we have expanded our operations and built a new, state of the art farm. Our company is committed to low impact sustainable agriculture by minimizing space, water, and resource consumption while maximizing efficiency and yield.

    Responsibilities

    Shift: Mon - Fri, weekends occasional 7a - 330p

     

    We are seeking a hardworking, detail oriented, self-starter to add to our team to oversee crop management. This position will involve monitoring plant health, regulating plant nutrition, maintaining the hydroponic growing environment, optimizing production, data collection, and conducting trials to develop new product lines . To succeed in this position you will need to be able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.

    Qualifications

    • Experience with hydroponic food production
    • Demonstrate the ability for critical thinking, and problem solving
    • Strong communication skills
    • Minimum 1 year in commercial greenhouse or production environment.
    • Understanding of horticulture, plant materials, IPM, and commercial production
    • Degree in Controlled Environment Agriculture or related field a plus.
    • Strong computer skills including: the Google suite, and Microsoft Office,
    • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lb. seed bags
    • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently for moving crops, seed, and packaging
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Team player
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule is a positive as the greens are always growing.
    • Must be able to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
