Sunday: 8:45AM-5:00PM

Monday-Thursday: 9:00AM-5:00PM

 

The Role

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and satisfaction by ensuring phone orders are inputted accurately and timely, customer inquiries are responded to in a thorough, timely manner and by supporting the outside sales group. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for courteously receiving telephone customer requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations. Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give t hem the best possible service.
  • Uses a Visual/Bosanova to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensure that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
  • Follows up on inquiries by checking computer runs on systems for delivery information. Works closely with transportation and sales persons regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
  • Maintains a sound working knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to customers.
  • Be current on all products/produce on hand (in stock) and on order.
  • Notify and assist salesperson by communication of customer’s needs and preferences.
  • Maintain effective, professional relationships with customers and fellow employees.
  • Provide support and provide assistance of outside salesperson. This includes customer service, administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and wellbeing of the company.
  • Attend all Inside Sales department sales meeting in a punctual manner.
  • Responsible for keeping a current call schedule including times, names, and phone numbers.
  • Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut off times.
  • Must be punctual and have excellent attendance, and keep supervisor informed of your whereabouts.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must-have demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and teaming skills.
  • Must be quick and accurate with figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through. Ability to receive orders audibly and simultaneously input accurately into order entry system.
  • Must have excellent phone and PC skills; i.e. Windows Office suite.
  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
  • Must have proven conflict resolution, problem-solving skills.
  • Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
  • Reliable; consistently at work and on time.
  • Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures, and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Prefer both retail and wholesale produce experience.
  • Prefer high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience.

 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED,and at least (1) year customer service experience.

 

Supplemental Information

This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
