Alerts team members to any special instructions and updates the team about any production add-ons. - Ensure Production crew is processing food according to HACPP and GMP regulations. - Oversee that crew is safely using equipment as necessary in preparation of food service items by providing training and appropriate PPE. - Operate all functions of position alone and without assistance if necessary. Fill in for the Production Supervisor when absent. - Coordinates the start-of-shift with the Processing Manager and other leads to ensure that the team gets started in a timely fashion and that all GMP’s are adhered to. - Checks order sheets and other written instructions to meet customer specifications, and personally checks pallets of product on first shipment to a new customer and to assure satisfactory packaging and production of first order. - Review daily documents filled out by the different lines for food safety requirements. Ensures that the documents are filled out correctly and in a timely fashion. - Assists with the communication with the processors to make sure that product is available and the lines work efficiently. - Make sure that materials needed to produce the product is available and pulled from the warehouse. - Fills in when necessary and assists with training new employees. - Assists the processing supervisor and manager with employee relation policies and to safety and health requirements in the food handling and storage areas. - Is responsible for quality and food safety. - Represents the team at team meetings. - Shares in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities for the work area.   Additional Responsibilities: As assigned by Production Manager. Each team member is required to learn and perform every job on the team.
