The Job: This position is responsible for the supervision of all product distribution functions; logistics to include: shipping, load planning, receiving, product quality control, and delivery of product.  Responsible for loss prevention as it pertains to plant, property and bodily injuries.  This position also encompasses the overall authority of the warehousing and transportation functions.          Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Position requires performing any combination of the following job duties: - Determine adequate personnel needs and staff as appropriate. - Effectively train personnel and establish performance goals of subordinates. - Maintain regular communications with sales, buying, warehouse and transportation staff to insure operations are functioning satisfactorily. - Coordinate and oversee accurate monthly inventory. - Implement necessary warehouse policy and procedures to effectively control operations. - Review and inspect plant, equipment and documentation, to insure they are all in compliance with Federal/Local Government Regulations and are in compliance with independent inspection guidelines. - Review and inspect plant and equipment, to insure periodic maintenance is provided and authorize repairs and services. - Develop and review Division reports profit and loss statement to determine efficiency levels. - Initiate capital expenditure request. - Supervise warehouse and transportation operations. - Manage the loss prevention function relating to plant property and personnel. - Maintain and achieve operations performance objectives. - Conduct staff/employee meetings to monitor all aspects of warehousing and transportation operations. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM.    Job Summary: Technicians are responsible for cleaning an industrial kitchen and food processing facility. Technicians are responsible for the daily sanitation of floors, processing equipment, knives, buckets, etc. This position works closely with the Quality Control department to ensure all USDA and HACCP requirements are met on a nightly basis. Position requires worker to perform any combination of the following tasks to maintain sanitary work area of food production facility: Cleans floor of production area, by removing garbage, moving floor mats, picking up food items, and tearing empty cardboard boxes. Uses high pressure water hose to pre-rinse all machines, tables and work surfaces from top to bottom. Soap clean and scrub all work surfaces, machines, and implements using nylon brushes and abrasive cleaning pads. Rinses all work surfaces and equipment. Spray sanitizer on equipment, work surfaces, and floor. Cleans and sanitizes barrels, utensils, and pans using the same process. Cleans and removes debris from drains and drain pits. Empty trash and debris from containers and place in totes. Use pallet-jack (electric or manual) to move tote to the garbage disposal area. Use forklift to dump totes.   Responsible for sweeping the floor and keeping the floors free of garbage, maintaining the disposal area, and hosing down forklifts and equipment in the garbage disposal area.   Responsible for Quality and Food Safety.

Our picking crew uses state-of-the art voice pick equipment and they pick several thousand pieces per week. Ensures sanitation of work area. This position requires working in a refrigerated warehouse at 36 degrees. Warehouse experience helpful but not necessary.   Essential duties, but not limited to: - Repacking and labeling produce - Package product with speed and accuracy - Able to distinguish different types of produce by color, size, and name - Identifies produce by size and weight for appropriate packaging. - Distinguishes special packaging for Customer and packs the orders accordingly - Verifies packing reports for specific instructions such as, quantities, etc. - Distinguishes bags which need UPC labels for store and delivery scanning - Lifting repetitively up to 50lbs - Keeps work area free of litter and debris - Complies with safety procedures in the workplace - Performs other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed

The Role   The ripening role is responsible for supporting the ripening of daily inventory of all commodities assigned specifically bananas. Responsible for maintaining the proper color chart or ripeness level expectations with very low tolerance for variance. The Role   Warehouse Manager works in concert with the Operations Manager and is responsible for the supervision of all warehouse activities, receiving, proper storage to maintain product quality, picking orders and loading of product for shipping.  This incumbent is responsible for loss prevention as it pertains to warehouse equipment, property, and employee bodily injuries.  This position encompasses the overall management of the day warehousing functions.       Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To - Oversee Warehouse Operations including Receiving, Operations Support, Quality/Inventory Control, Sanitation, Ripening and support of Shipping. - Manage employee performance, hiring and corrective counseling with support from Operations - Monitoring, evaluating and improving KPI’s in order to achieve Operation’s performance objectives. - Monitor all activities during the day to ensure the smooth operation of the Warehouse teams. - Ensure proper slot replenishment following the first in, first out procedure.  - Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner. - Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include receiving, forklift movement, inventory/quality control and sanitation. - Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products. - Generates warehouse productivity reports (i.e. piece count report), in regard to receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to labor distribution requirements and works toward attaining objectives and division goals. - Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations. - Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment and all necessary repairs to the Maintenance Dept. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions. - Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Operations Manager to - upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency. - Responsible for supporting all Food Safety Initiatives including managing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System, PrimusGFS, and Organic Certification requirements. - Responsible for support of Warehouse Safety Initiatives. - Support and implement food safety, workplace safety and quality assurance initiatives - Support and implement the company’s initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building.
