The Role   Schedule: We are a year round, full time employer. Currently we are hiring for all shifts, including a night driving shift for dark drops.  Position requires performing any combination of the following job tasks: • Meets with dispatcher for route and product information (manifest) for days deliveries • Completes visual and hands on inspection of delivery vehicle (Tractor/Trailer) • Checks vehicle oil and water levels, tires, blinkers, leaf springs, horn, headlights, and flashers for proper operation. Loads hand truck and/or pallet jack in truck • Notifies dispatcher of departure time and first stop • Drives to customer location, either a retail location or general food service • Backs into loading dock or pulls into loading zone • Checks in with customer and receives instructions on where to drop product • Unloads pallets of product and transports using electric pallet jack to customer desired location • If requested, driver will down stack product from pallet • Uses hand truck to move individual boxes at certain stops • Receives signature on invoice • Loads pallet jack back on truck with empty pallets • Loads returns on truck • Drives to next stop and repeat • At end of shift, returns paper work to dispatcher • Off loads pallets and pallet jack. Unhooks trailer at dock, and drives tractor to parking area for semi tractors. Install and remove tire chains as needed • Flexibility to work nights and do dark drops may be required • Other duties as assigned

- Is responsible for courteously receiving telephone customer requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations. Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service. - Uses AS400/EView to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information. - Follows up on inquiries by checking computer runs on systems for delivery information. Works closely with transportation and salespersons regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments. - Makes price quotations by phone on price/order book items. - Maintains systems file of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes and partial shipments. - Maintain a sound working knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to customers. - Be current on all products/produce on hand (in stock) and on order. - Notify and assist salespersons by communication of customer's needs and preferences. - Maintain effective, professional relationships with customers and fellow employees. - Provide support and provide assistance for outside salespersons.  This includes customer service, administrative task and special projects. - Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well being of the company. - Attend all CSR department sales meetings in a punctual manner. - Responsible for keeping a current call schedule including times, names, and phone numbers. - Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut off times. - Must be punctual and have excellent attendance, and communicate all breaks to supervisor to ensure phone coverage. - All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager - All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality

Since planting our first seeds 2011, our team has created a sustainable urban farm where the harvest cycle is days, not months. Our hydroponic, vertical farm uses 90 percent less water than traditional agriculture, is pesticide and herbicide free, and we harvest tender microgreens daily, regardless of season. We grow in square feet, not acres. We use energy efficient LED lights and in our fully climate controlled facility to consistently produce the freshest greens that can be to a customers plate within hours of harvest. From our Seattle farm located in the SODO neighborhood we supply microgreens to local marketplaces and hundreds loyal restaurants all over the Pacific Northwest. At Farmbox Greens we work hard because we believe that food should be grown responsibly, locally, and taste delicious.   The Role The Farm Operations Assistant position is with Farmbox Greens the indoor agriculture division of Charlie’s produce.     We are seeking a hardworking, detail oriented, self-starter to add to our team to help with day to day production and farm operations. This is an entry-level position which entails all aspects of indoor farming including planting, harvesting, packaging, cleaning, and food safety. Our facility is highly regulated by our food safety measures which require our employees to have attention to detail with all aspects of their work.   Schedule   Monday – Friday, Dayshift, 40 hours per week. Start time subject to change. Also reoccurring Saturday and Sunday coverage, 1-2 hours   Pay Range is $20-$23 per hour depending on experience   Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To - Assisting in the growth and packing of microgreens - Harvesting, packing, labeling, and boxing produce - Cleaning and sanitizing growing area - Measuring and preparing seed for planting - Recording and documenting food safety procedures
