The Role
Schedule: We are a year round, full time employer. Currently we are hiring for all shifts, including a night driving shift for dark drops.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
• Meets with dispatcher for route and product information (manifest) for days deliveries
• Completes visual and hands on inspection of delivery vehicle (Tractor/Trailer)
• Checks vehicle oil and water levels, tires, blinkers, leaf springs, horn, headlights, and flashers for proper operation. Loads hand truck and/or pallet jack in truck
• Notifies dispatcher of departure time and first stop
• Drives to customer location, either a retail location or general food service
• Backs into loading dock or pulls into loading zone
• Checks in with customer and receives instructions on where to drop product
• Unloads pallets of product and transports using electric pallet jack to customer desired location
• If requested, driver will down stack product from pallet
• Uses hand truck to move individual boxes at certain stops
• Receives signature on invoice
• Loads pallet jack back on truck with empty pallets
• Loads returns on truck
• Drives to next stop and repeat
• At end of shift, returns paper work to dispatcher
• Off loads pallets and pallet jack. Unhooks trailer at dock, and drives tractor to parking area for semi tractors. Install and remove tire chains as needed
• Flexibility to work nights and do dark drops may be required
• Other duties as assigned
The Role

- Manages & creates policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality control, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, food & employee safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance measures.
- Works with Production Manager for best product scheduling to increase efficiencies and reduce waste levels while maximizing quality.
- Responsible for managing financials including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the profitability of the division.
- Provides leadership and direction to all Senior Branch Managers.
- Provides leadership for employee relations
- This position shares responsibility for ensuring the overall product safety at Charlie’s Produce.
- Active & participating member of Food Safety and HACCP Teams.
- Works with the Regional President to build annual facility budgets to facilitate and lead to continued growth of the business.
- Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Schedule
Full-time day schedule; typically Monday thru Friday, morning start, may require occasional weekends.
The Role
Maintains an effective fleet maintenance/repair program that prolongs the life and ensures safe operation of all CP equipment. Performs technical work on vehicles and equipment as needed; ensuring inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
- Serves as subject matter expert on fleet maintenance and repairs.
- Identify fleet maintenance issues or trends; anticipate problems and implement solutions.
- Plans, schedules, and prioritizes fleet maintenance activities.
- Provides aid, as needed, when troubles arise on the road – finds qualified service to repair downed vehicle, obtains competitive bids for repairs, body work, etc.
- Work with drivers to enable them to operate specialized equipment properly.
- Reviews work orders and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Review invoices for approval process and proper asset allocation.
- Occasional travel to pick up parts or meet with vendors.
- Ensure conformance with vehicle manufacture’s service recommendations and bulletins.
- Ensure proper working conditions and shop and vehicle safety practices are followed.

- File warranty claims, warranty logs
- Maintain parts department, inventory levels to company standards.
- Comply with all OSHA and DOT regulations.

Shifts:

The Role:
Janitors are responsible for warehouse cleanup work, keeping buildings/warehouse in clean and orderly condition through various methods performing both light and heavy cleaning tasks such as sweeping, waste collection and removal, floor cleaning, and various surface cleaning duties, common areas such as locker rooms, restrooms, break rooms etc. The job tasks take place in both warehouse coolers and outside elements using heavy equipment. Also assisting the receiving dept as needed and other tasks assigned.
We will train new hires on equipment to include electric pallet jack and fork lift. Must be able to give direction to the group.

The Role
Continually monitor machine operations to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained. The Role
Outside Food Service Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and maintaining food service businesses in around Southern CA. This position requires cold-calling on commercial accounts in the field to generate new permanent sales. This position often requires working non-traditional hours (evening, weekends and holidays) in order to successfully meet customers’ needs.

Responsible for general housekeeping including but not limited to sweeping floors, cleaning up debris around the warehouse, cleaning up standing water, breaking down boxes and recycle, scheduled cleaning of freezer,ripening chambers, restrooms and lunchroom, using a forklift to empty garbage and check for pest control issues.Responsible for the completion of the daily SQF inspection log.

The Role
Technicians are responsible for cleaning an industrial kitchen and food processing facility. This position requires worker to perform any combination of the following tasks to maintain sanitary work area of food production facility: Cleans floor of production area, by removing garbage, moving floor mats, picking up food items, and tearing empty cardboard boxes.
Essential Responsibilities Include, and Are Not Limited To:
- Oversee and assist with removal of compost throughout the day
- Maintaining the overall cleaning of the production facility, warehouse, breakroom and bathrooms.
- Comprehension of Approved Chemicals and SDS Sheets
- Ensures entire plant is clean, sanitized and free of all product residue and debris.
- Strives to prevent accidents by following proper chemical and workplace safety practices
- Report all equipment issues to Maintenance
- Maintain records that are used to verify cleaning

The Role
The drivers are responsible for delivering produce orders. Driver are responsible for loading and unloading their own trucks by hand and with a hand truck. Our drivers have a lot of direct contact with customers and must have superior customer service skills.
Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
- Performs daily routine safety checks, and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle
- Ensures all safety measures appropriate for operation of assigned vehicle are consistently and efficiently applied

The Role
Our Warehouse Operations team is one of the most vital departments in the company. We have a dedicated team of receivers who receive up to 200 loads per week. Our receiving crew work together to unload trailers, break down pallets, make sure items are on receiving paperwork match whats on the pallet. They then insure all items are slotted in the proper location and handle inventory control.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (36-degrees)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
- Physical capacities to utilize moving motorized equipment (electric pallet jack, sit down forklift, stand-up forklift) in a fast paced environment.

As a member of our team, you will install and maintain heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment, duct work and accessories at various commercial projects for the company’s Seattle locations.

The Role

The Role:
You will be part of a team of people that work together in an environment that is friendly, yet productive.
This role is for picking full case produce orders onto a pallet utilizing a “hands free” voice pick headset system while operating a riding pallet jack. These orders are picked with product integrity in mind and are wrapped and staged upon completion for delivery to the customer. We strive to maintain a safe warehouse environment while specializing in building organized orders with attention to quality and accuracy while meeting all food safety programs. This is a steady paced position that requires a standard of a certain pieces per hour which is easily within reach for candidates that are hired on.
