The Role   The ripening role is responsible for supporting the ripening of daily inventory of all commodities assigned specifically bananas. Responsible for maintaining the proper color chart or ripeness level expectations with very low tolerance for variance. It is a fast paced environment where the volume of inventory requires a high level of tracking and following proper procedures using the warehouse management system to maintain inventory integrity by following best practices. Essential functions include but are not limeted to: - Ripening produce or other commodities according to SOPs - Assist daily inventory for all item codes under job responsibility - Check banana and other commodity that is ripened upon arrival - Conduct quality check, sorting & grading of produce in warehouse - Communitcate timely deliveries - Help oversee fill rate of all item codes involving ripened commodities - Track proper scheduled guidelines in ripening status - Ripneing room maintenance and sanitation - Communicate daily banana color status to sales team  - All other duties as assigned by Operations Manager which may entail assisting other departments

The Role Charlies Produce (CP) is looking for an experienced Journey Level Fleet Mechanic to join our winning team.   CP is a fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility to service the needs of our customers & CP team members. In this role, you will perform truck repair and maintenance work, run diagnostics on vehicles, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. There will be a focus on preventative maintenance, complex diagnosis, and repair along with ability to order parts. Schedule   Flexible days and must be avaialble for weekends and or holidays as necessary.   The Role Warehouse Manager works in concert with the Warehouse Operations Manager and is responsible for the supervision of all night warehouse activities, receiving, proper storage to maintain product quality, picking orders and loading of product for shipping.  This incumbent is responsible for loss prevention as it pertains to warehouse equipment, property and employee bodily injuries.  This position encompasses the overall management of the warehousing functions and supervision of 2 supervisors as well as leads and department staff.      Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To - Oversee Warehouse Operations including Receiving, Operations Support, Quality/Inventory Control, Sanitation, Ripening and support of Shipping. - Manage employee performance, hiring and corrective counseling with support from Operations - Monitoring, evaluating and improving KPI’s in order to achieve Operation’s performance objectives. - Monitor all activities during the day to ensure the smooth operation of the Warehouse teams. - Ensure proper slot replenishment following the first in, first out procedure. - Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner. - Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include receiving, forklift movement, inventory/quality control and sanitation. - Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products. - Generates warehouse productivity reports (i.e. piece count report), in regard to receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to labor distribution requirements and works toward attaining objectives and division goals. - Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations. - Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment and all necessary repairs to the Maintenance Dept. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions. - Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Operations Manager in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency. - Responsible for supporting all Food Safety Initiatives including managing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System, PrimusGFS and Organic Certification requirements. - Responsible for support of Warehouse Safety Initiatives. - Support and implement the company’s initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building.

This role also works to improve the efficiencies of staffing, materials, and equipment while anticipating any potential concerns in those areas.   Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To   - Policy management, creation, and deployment in the areas of: Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality control, cost reduction, delivery, food & employee safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance. - Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and full on-time delivery. - Works with the Production Manager to enable the best product scheduling allowing an increase in efficiencies while simultaneously reducing food waste and maximizing quality. - Production process evaluation and modification when necessary to enable maximum efficiency, safety, and quality. - Oversees purchasing personnel and activities. - Works with QC/Food Safety Manager to facilitate and monitor adherence to all food safety guidelines and policies. - Practice FDA compliance, staying abreast of current regulations. - Partner with the Safety, Food Safety, and HACCP Teams including participating in any safety committees as a leader. - Work with the GM to build annual facility budgets to continue the growth of the business. - Manage compliance with state and federal regulations with the aid of support divisions. - Assist in the project management of facility expansion. - Practice an emotional intelligence flexible prioritization to enable proper people management duties. - Keep a proactive attitude allowing a willingness to jump in and help in any position as needed to keep moral high. - Once the daily functions of the role have been adopted into daily practice this role will be expected to help the GM work with the Maintenance and Warehouse Departments. - Perform additional duties as requested.
