The Facilities Technician is a skilled role that is responsible for maintaining and repairing various areas of our facility, which includes basic refrigeration, HVAC, basic mechanical motors, painting, carpentry, etc. The right candidate will also assist in all general building maintenance including but not limited to electrical and plumbing repairs. This position is accountable for paperwork to ensure the highest safety practices for the warehouse, preventative maintenance of the entire warehouse including forklifts, machinery, and miscellaneous projects. All Charlie’s positions require the ability to provide clear and timely communication when necessary.   Essential Duties &Responsibilities:   - Perform daily tasks as assigned by supervisor.  - Assist with executing the facility preventative maintenance plan. - Perform mechanical and refrigeration duties. - Maintain building and machinery maintenance. - Maintain the facility grounds including lawn care and snow removal. - Communicate when repairs will require third party contractors. - Attend monthly safety meetings. - Other duties as assigned.

****** Starting at $19 an hour or more with experience******   Schedule   Sunday - Friday 5a - 130p (Saturday off and a revolving weekday off)   The Role   Responsible for case packing produce, salads, and sandwiches in appropriate sized boxes. Must be able to correctly label the case and accurately palletize product to correct division using daily pick report. Correctly label incoming raw materials and rotate into stock. Decant produce out of cardboard into clean production containers while documenting lot codes. The Role   The merchandiser directly impacts the sales process by having continuous contact with floral managers, receivers, and department managers. The Role   The Transportation Safety Coordinator reports directly to our corporate Director of Safety and is responsible to work with divisions to ensure they are in compliance with all local and federal state laws and regulations along with company policies. Coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents. Responsible for developing and distributing driver training materials which include on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, and other DOT and FMCSA required trainings. The position assists in ensuring we maintain our reputable safety scores. The position will also be responsible for maintaining compliant files and records and efficient use of Hours of Service. This position requires a significant knowledge of various generally recognized workplace safety, transportation safety programs and DOT and FMCSA regulatory compliance systems.   Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To - Effectively evaluate, monitor, analyze and identify all driver and vehicle compliance and non-compliance issues and resolve them in a timely manner. - Responsible for helping manage internal and external compliance reporting, providing compliance advice and assistance, conducting compliance investigations, manage on-going education program. - Monitor and assist in enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance. - Responsible for monitoring all compliance regarding tasks associated with: - Driver Qualifications – Medical Cards/Physicals, Licenses, Annual Driving Records - Driver Training – DOT regulations, Hazmat training (all areas required for our industry) - Driver Records – Processing employment applications, DOT required documents, company policies, CSA, MVR, criminal background, PSP, etc. - DOT Drug Testing -Administer random drug screens and oversee FMCSA Clearinghouse - Reviews reporting of all vehicle and employee accidents/incidents for input in the determination of cause and preventability and identifying potential trends. - Help oversee vehicle accident claims and identify any trends and corrective actions. - Maintain roadside inspections and citations including overweight, traffic violations, etc. - Act as the subject matter expert with our Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure all recorded information is accurate and belongs to our company record. - Conduct daily audits of drivers to ensure compliance and productivity through a fleet management and tracking software system. - Manage our safety incident tracker associated to all not at fault and at fault incidents. - Track monthly safety training topics and meetings for commercial and non-commercial drivers. - Assist with coordination of inspections, assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to identify potential hazards, and ensures compliance with all applicable safety and compliance requirements. - Practice oversight of the small vehicle fleet safety program and help perform required periodic record checks.
